Tricéleris, a neutral FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network operator backed by Téset Capital, has appointed Carlos Quílez as the new CEO of the company at a crucial moment in its strategic plan, which includes development through acquisitions and its own network deployments.
With over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications sector and expertise in commercial management, key accounts, and organisational transformation at companies such as Vodafone, Opencable, and Airtel, Carlos Quílez will lead the next phase of growth for Tricéleris, aiming to surpass one million homes passed in the coming years.
Carlos Quílez has emphasised that “we face the challenge of continuing to strengthen our network and providing a highly specialised service that is fully tailored to our clients’ needs, prioritising quality. At a time when local operators are playing an increasingly significant role in the telecommunications market, we at Tricéleris want to support them and contribute to more accessible and efficient connectivity across Spain. Our goal is to establish Tricéleris as a reference player in the Spanish FTTH infrastructure market.”
Tricéleris is building an infrastructure ready for the technological challenges of the future and to promote digital inclusion throughout Spain. Its status as a neutral operator allows its clients, local Internet service providers, to scale their services rapidly, improving coverage without the need for significant investments.
Since its launch in 2024, Tricéleris has executed acquisitions of local networks and has driven organic deployments that have enabled it to reach nearly 350,000 homes passed in over 160 municipalities across Spain. The company focuses on developing high-quality digital infrastructures, facilitating access to fibre optic networks for local telecommunications operators without the need for heavy investments. Tricéleris is strengthening its presence in six key regions of Spain: Andalusia, the Canary Islands, the Community of Madrid, the Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha, and La Rioja.
Carlos Quílez holds a Telecommunications Engineering degree from La Salle Bonanova, affiliated with Ramón Llull University in Barcelona. He has an Executive Master’s from the EOI Business School, a Master’s in Commercial Management from FUNDESEM Business School, and an International MBA from La Salle, completed at Manhattan College in New York (USA).
