Teset Capital launches Tricéleris, a neutral fibre optic operator, to boost digital connectivity in rural areas

  • Tricéleris facilitates access for other operators to state-of-the-art infrastructure, improving coverage in rural areas without incurring high investments.

  • It combines sustainability and digital inclusion, aiming to bring fibre optic to over a million homes and reduce the digital divide.

  • Teset Capital’s investment exceeds 30 million euros.

Teset Capital, an independent fund manager focused on infrastructure investments, has launched Triceleris, a neutral FTTH (Fibre to the Home) network operator aimed at revolutionising digital connectivity in Spain. This launch aligns with Teset Capital’s strategy to invest in essential infrastructures, consolidating its position as a key player in the development of sustainable, high-impact technological solutions.

With Triceleris, Teset Capital takes another step in its commitment to democratise access to cutting-edge infrastructures, enabling local and regional operators to access a high-quality fibre optic network without the need for costly investments. These infrastructures facilitate the delivery of essential services-such as distance education, telemedicine, and remote work-to rural communities and areas with limited access, enhancing digital inclusion as well as social and economic progress across Spain.
Triceleris, which currently provides access to over 250,000 homes, aims to exceed one million in the coming years, combining organic growth with strategic acquisitions. This model fosters a collaborative ecosystem that not only removes entry barriers but also boosts connectivity in underserved areas.

Teset Capital’s investment exceeds 30 million euros and demonstrates the company’s commitment to businesses that combine profitability with social benefit.

According to Jose Arango, partner at Teset Capital, “Triceleris is a platform designed to support local operators, facilitating access to high-quality infrastructures without the need to deploy their own networks. Our commitment is clear: to support regional operators and contribute to more accessible and equitable connectivity in Spain.”

The fibre optic infrastructure deployed by Triceleris is highly energy-efficient and contributes to reducing the carbon footprint, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Pedro Lopez, Senior Advisor at Teset Capital and former executive at Telefonica, highlights that “Triceleris is a neutral operator that meets market needs and supports other operators in their growth and network deployment. Our approach as a neutral operator allows local Internet providers to scale their services quickly, enhancing coverage without incurring high investments. We are creating an infrastructure ready for the technological challenges of the future and to drive digital inclusion across Spain.”

The launch of Triceleris reflects Teset Capital’s goal of combining financial and operational expertise with a long-term vision. With a team made up of professionals who have held strategic positions in leading companies, the company applies advanced practices to improve service quality and generate value for both operators and investors.
