Sologas

OVERVIEW

  • Sologas is a company that operates in waste and wastewater treatment and biomethane production. Incorporated in 2011 and operational since 2015, it is based in A Coruña (Spain) and employs a team of 30 people. The A Coruña facilities include a composting plant, a co-digestion plant, and a hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste treatment plant, which together enable the production of fertilisers, growing substrates, and water. Sologas has a waste processing capacity of up to 220,000 tonnes per year, of which 99.5% is recovered. Since 2024, Sologas produces and markets biomethane. With a production capacity of 27.3 GWh/year, the company transforms this biomethane through an on-site liquefaction process into bioLNG (liquefied renewable natural gas), making it the only bioLNG plant in Spain.
